Where will my session be held?
We want you to be as comfortable as possible, but we also want to ensure the best images we can capture. Our preference is always to shoot with natural light either on location outdoors in the Greater Toronto Area (including Oakville, Mississauga, North York, and Richmond Hill) or at our studio.
We can do in-home family, maternity, and newborn sessions, but we always recommend the flexibility and light of outdoor and in-studio sessions. We have a number of suggested locations for your outdoor sessions.
When do newborn sessions happen?
We like to do newborn sessions within the first 5 to 14 days of your wee one’s life. To ensure that you have the availability you want, we recommend booking early.
When do maternity sessions happen?
Maternity sessions are best done between week 28 and 34 to ensure a nice, round bump. To ensure that you have the availability you want, we recommend booking early.
What time of day will my session take place?
We prefer to do our sessions when the light is best, which means early in the mornings before sun-up or in the evening an hour before sundown.
What should I wear for the session?
We want you to look and feel your best, so we do personal consultations to determine what you and your family should wear for your session. We also have a large Client Closet of women’s dresses sized XS-L and clothes for your little ones sizes newborn to 5T. These are available to you at no extra cost with your booking.
How do I book a session?
The best way to book is to use our online booking form. This will collect the non-refundable $99.00 +HST deposit and take any information we need to get started. Then we will begin the consultation process and book your date.
When can I see my pictures?
You will receive an online gallery of approximately 70 of your best images within three days of your session.
How do I choose my pictures?
My online proofing system will allow you to select your images and send them to me for editing. The number of pictures you can choose depends on the number of images included in your package. Check your contract to confirm before choosing.
How long will it take to receive my final pictures?
Your final, edited images will be sent to you within two to three weeks.
Can I print my images myself?
Yes! All our sessions include retouched images and a print release, so you can print these images with ease (or send them to relatives far away and they can print them locally). We offer professional prints through your online gallery and photo books upon request.
My kids are very energetic. What do I do if they won’t cooperate?
This is a big worry that we hear a lot! Our advice: don’t worry and leave that up to us.
As a mom of three little ones, I know exactly how you feel. I know how much work goes into planning family photo sessions, so I work hard to make them playful and fun to allow the kids to be themselves. We also keep sessions to an hour or less to ensure there’s enough time to play and capture amazing moments before they start to get bored or lose patience.
Do you offer mini sessions?
We do seasonal special occasion mini-sessions such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, or some in-between sessions to capture mini milestones. These sessions take place in-studio and are quick ways to capture moments you don’t want to miss between larger sessions. Check our Mini Sessions page for details and make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter for all the important updates.
Should I have my hair and makeup done by a professional?
We highly recommend professional hair and makeup. It adds so much to your session and the results are always excellent. You won’t regret adding this to your day. Our favourite place in Toronto is Blush Parlour and their team of amazing stylists that come to you.
