When you first hold your newborn in your arms, the world suddenly makes sense. You created this tiny human who now holds your heart, and you know you’ll cherish every moment you’re blessed to have them in your life. From that first smile to those first steps and many more, you’ll have numerous milestones to look forward to in the months ahead.
Although first birthday cake smash sessions are our most popular sessions to photograph, we also capture all other milestone. This session in our natural light studio space located in The Junction was to celebrate this little mans 1st birthday and as you can see the photos we capture at Anchor Studio are ones his mom will cherish for a lifetime. The best part for any photographer is when moms decide to join in on the fun and exist in photos with their children. These will be the ones this little boy will cherish most when he’s older.
INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS OF BABY ALONE
The milestone portion of your child’s session follows the family set ups. Milestone portion is where we focus on developmental changes since our last session together. For 12 months, it’s usually standing or walking, pulling up, clapping their hands, smiling, and really showcasing their personality.
WE END WITH THE SMASH THE CAKE PORTION
After baby’s individual portion of milestone images, we then focus on the cake smash aspect of your session. I provide timeless and vintage inspired props for this session, but also ensure baby is the focus of our time together, too. I do not like distracting aspects in the images so props are kept to a minimum so baby will be the shining star. Examples of props I may bring as things like an antique high chair, quilt and crate.
