I recently took our family to an Alpaca farm a few hours drive from Toronto. It was an adventure I wanted to capture with my kids for the longest time and with Covid I’m trying to be a lot more present and enjoy our days and adventures in the city.
I wasn’t sure how the kids would react to being surrounded by llamas and alpacas so I was open to expecting a number of reactions – mostly from my soon-to-be 3 year old wild child. He’s an animal lover and we go often to High Park where he loves seeing the llamas behind the fence. Our experience started off on the right foot until it was time to feed the animals.
Llamas and alpacas are really friendly I must add. But when you go to feed them, be prepared to be surrounded by all of them around you. That’s when the tears began for my 3 year old and it took some time to warm up to them again. You could see his cute reaction from photo to photo of how he felt 🙂 In the end, they loved it and asked to go back. Mission accomplished. One photo idea checked off my list with my family and can’t wait for more photo opportunities with them all summer.
