Maternity photo sessions are my absolute favourite! My goal with every maternity photo shoot is to capture the miracle you represent yourself at this moment, making you feel comfortable and beautiful. Expectant mothers are beautiful and fascinating. They have an incredible glow, beauty from inside out, sacred mystery… Pregnant women are beautiful in their changing body, in their quiet expectancy and love.
High Park in Toronto is one of my go-to locations for outdoor maternity and family portraits. I love being able to use my favourite locations in Toronto that work for photo shoots all year round.
Maternity session are done either in beautiful locations in Toronto and the GTA all year round or at my studio in The Junction. Within first 48 hours after your maternity session, you will receive a link to the private proofing gallery. You will be able to choose your favourite images for further retouching. The link to the finished gallery with high resolution images will be sent in two weeks after finalizing your choices.
Need help deciding what to wear for your maternity session
As you see in our work, many moms-to-be wear dresses for their maternity photo shoot. You may be wondering if you have to wear a dress too. The answer is no! You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in but there a couple of reasons that a dress is a fun element at a maternity session. First is that the dress provides movement and flow! The flow of a dress can create a super beautiful element to any session. The second is that longer dresses are generally quite flattering to the belly. It is very easy to tuck your hand under your belly and still have your dress look fantastic- that is not always true of standard maternity tops. Bottom line: where what you want but if you are on the fence of wearing a dress- wear one! As a client of mine, you’ll also get access to my client closet with tons of beautiful maternity dresses and gowns for moms-to-be.
It is highly recommended to make a tentative maternity booking around weeks 32-36 and at least 3-4 months in advance of your due date. Once your baby is born, you can contact me and we will arrange a suitable time and day for your session. If your little one has already arrived, don’t worry, you’re not too late! Please contact me as soon as possible and I can try to schedule you in.
